Basic Prepositions
- fu = to; toward
- iu = belonging to; of
- ku = with; including; accompanied by
- mu = from; out of; since
- nu = without; lacking; excluding
- bu = against; opposed to
- lu = by the name of
- su = via; through; by way of; trans
- ju = using; with; by means of
- tu = at
- a = (direct object marker)
- e = (subject marker)
Forming Prepositions from Roots
A preposition can be formed by attaching the suffix -u to any root:
- rek = right reku = on/to the right of
- noc = posterior; backside nocu = behind; after
- mah = orbit mahu = around
- tot = all; whole totu = all over
- hin = interior hinu = in; inside (of)
- din = day dinu = on the day of
Prepositions can be combined to indicate motion, fixed location and/or other more specific meanings.
- fu + hin = at + interior fuhinu = into
- tu + hin = at + interior tuhinu = inside of
- mu + hin = from + interior muhinu = out of; out from
